May. 21st, 2011 @ 08:20 am Meanwhile, back at Affables Ice Cream...
Look guys, Tea just doesn't see why she shouldn't be allowed to join just because her family has bred for a love of sailing rather than a magical talent. She has no problem getting here and besides, have you seen her airship? Aside from the coolness factor, it has cannons and I, for one, want to keep playing here rather than have to find a new parental-free location.

In light of the above arguments, I move that Teagan Marie Radanova be admitted as a full member of the Fields Of Chance division of the Gamer's Guild. All in favor?

Dear Kay,
Are you going to remedy the unfortunate gender discrepancy among the employees of the D&B? I want girls to talk to.
- Tara
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tara,
We hired Sabine last week.
Kay.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dearest Kay,
Yes, and that brings the female total of our fine establishment up to two. You should really hire some girls to work the tea shop. The pixies were amusing at first but they’re getting annoying.
Tara
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tara,
Why are there pixies working the tea shop?
Kay
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kay,
I thought you hired them. Or someone said you said to hire them. Or something.
Tara
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tara,
I’m sending you several attendants for the tea shop. When they arrive, squash the faeries.
Kay
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Most darling sister,
Wow. How ‘bout I just let them go? They really have been pretty good workers, I’d feel really bad killing them just because they had been replaced. Did they spit in your tea or something?
Tara

Dear Morgan,
First, I wanted to thank you for mentioning that new dance hall to Josh. (When have you two been talking anyway? I wasn't aware that you two were even acquaintances, let alone correspondents.) It was simply amazing and that band has no equal. Were you aware that their drummer writes a good deal of the band's music?
Your fair city looks beautiful as usual. I am always impressed at how you manage to keep control of it. I find it hard enough to keep the King's library in order.
How's your daughter doing? She must be 6 or 7 by now, yes? Keeping you on your toes? I know mine always keep me jumping. Raven is just getting into that rebellious stage. I have no idea how I'm going to survive her teens. Waif was never that contrary... or perhaps I just don't remember it.
Well, the dogs are getting antsy, so I fear I must cut this short. Looking forward to seeing you next time we're in your city. Do remember to come to the New Years ball in the Emeralds, it simply won't be the same without you.
Your devoted friend
Lady Pendragon

My dearest Lady,
Life has gotten away from us, hasn’t it? While I still adore you as much as ever, I feel we never see each other these days.
I desire to take you dancing - there is a new dance hall in the south and I have heard that their musicians are phenomenal. Let’s let the daughter visit your sister and make an evening of it. What do you say?
Yours, devotedly,
Joshua Romani

My dearest Johannah,
As I was about this early morning, I came upon a closet of the most stunning ball gowns and I thought to myself, ‘My Jo would look simply brilliant in them’.  Much more beautiful, I am sure, than their owner does.  No, dear heart, I did not steal them, for I know how you feel about my line of work.
I’ve done well lately, shall we go out on the town on the morrow?  I could buy you a pretty gown of your own and we would take the posh scene by storm.  Dinner, of course, at a fine establishment and perhaps some dancing?  My Lord Joshua Romani intimated that he could point us in the right way for some good musicians.  You must agree, as it will fill my heart with joy to be seen on the arm of the most beautiful lady in the city.
    Yours for always,
        Your devoted Rafe.

Apparently Kyle, the boiler man, has invented a collapsible sword. Now, I'm being treated to daily performances of faux sword fights by Tick and Tock which include such memorable exchanges as:
"I know something you don't know!"
"Really?"
"My dagger is actually a sword! Hah! Take that you blackguard!"

and

"I know something you don't know!"
"You are not left handed?"
"Well, that, and my bow tie is really a camera!"
"How does that help you, exactly?"
"I'm not sure. But my dagger is also a sword! Hah!"

It's getting Old.
